By the numbers
Taranaki district census supervisors Donna Murray, left, and Sandy Smith carry out a role play scenario while training 2013 census collectors yesterday. From today about 260 Taranaki collectors will begin delivering census forms to homes around the region. March 5 is the date set for the census after the planned 2011 census was cancelled because of the Christchurch earthquake. Statistics New Zealand expects more than two million census forms will be completed online on census day. Official census collectors will be wearing a yellow identification badge and carrying a blue census bag.
