Ethics chief quits

The moral guardian of Russia’s parliament has stepped down after bloggers posted documents showing he owned a luxury apartment in Miami Beach and two other Florida properties. Vladimir Pekhtin, a member of President Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party and chairman of the parliament’s Ethics Committee, did not declare any foreign property in the parliamentary register of interests.
