NPOB meet Clifton sevens

New Plymouth Old Boys and Clifton will meet in the opening game of the Dewar Shield sevens tournament in Hawera today. Seven teams have entered the open grade, with six teams, including two from Palmerston North Boys’ High School, competing for the colts title. Old Boys, Clifton, Southern One and Coastal are in pool A, with Inglewood, Spotswood United and Southern Two in pool B. All games will be at the TSB Hub, with the open grade final at 4.40pm. The colts title will be decided on points after a round-robin competition.
