Striker debuts for Phoenix

Australian striker Corey Gameiro will make his debut for the Wellington Phoenix against the Brisbane Roar tomorrow. Gameiro spent three years in English Premier League club Fulham’s reserve side. Now manager Martin Jol wants to see him perform in a competitive first-team situation – hence his arrival on loan in Wellington this week. Gameiro will start in place of the suspended Jeremy Brockie at Suncorp Stadium.
