Milking the issue

If you are as appalled by the Ha¯ wera Lions’ float as your editorial ‘‘Mayor’s legacy on the line’’ (Friday, Nov 23) suggests then it is at best a contradiction and at worst hypocrisy that you republished the photo on Wednesday, Nov 28. By doing so you perpetuate what you deem an offence. It’s disappointing that you appear to be milking the situation for all it’s worth — not opening up debate, but exacerbating division.
