One killed in Stratford crash
One person has died after a twovehicle crash near Stratford, central Taranaki.
The crash, on SH3 between the Monmouth Rd and Flint Rd intersections, involved a car and a NZ Post truck and occurred about 5.30am yesterday.
Police, fire and ambulance crews, along with a rescue helicopter, attended.

‘‘The crash site was huge with debris covering over a 150-metre area.’’
A NZ Post spokesperson confirmed it was one of their trucks involved.
‘‘We are supporting our driver. Police are investigating the accident and we cannot comment further.’’
The death is the second on the region’s roads this month and sixth road fatality of the year.
