Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash

A person was taken to Taranaki Base Hospital in a critical condition following a motorcycle crash in central New Plymouth yesterday. Fire and Emergency crew members were seen treating a person who was lying in the middle of Gover St, around 12.45pm, and also diverting traffic. There was a motorcycle lying on the road nearby. A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said they were notified of the incident at 12.52pm, sending one ambulance and one rapid response vehicle. One person was taken to Taranaki Base Hospital in a critical condition, the spokesperson said.
