Asphalt resealing work planned for next week

Two sections of State Highway 3 in the centre of Stratford, Taranaki, will be temporarily closed for asphalt resealing next week. Work to repair the lanes between Seyton St and Regan St will take place between Monday, November 28 and Thursday, December 1. Repairs between the Flint Rd intersection and Pembroke Rd will begin December 1 and are expected to finish the following day. There will be stop-go traffic management at both locations along Broadway, from 6pm to 6am each night, Waka Kotahi said in a written statement. ‘‘A number of alternative routes are available, including Pembroke Rd and Swansea Rd, available for both northbound and southbound travellers. These works are to allow important asphalt repairs to take place. Please note that due to the nature of these works they may be postponed at short notice in the event of bad weather.’’
