Eight pipers piping, six drummers drumming

The Taranaki Caledonian Pipe Band took on a festive look for the return of the New Plymouth

Lions Christmas Parade on Saturday. Thousands of people lined the streets of the city centre for the first parade in two years. Pipe Major Ross Ekdahl, front left, said eight bagpipers and six drummers took part, and it had been a brilliant day. ‘‘It was great to bring a bit of cheer to the city.’’
