Auckland replace Ieremia

Auckland Rugby has parted ways with NPC coach Alama Ieremia, announcing he is to be succeeded by his assistant Craig Mcgrath for the 2023 provincial season. The union yesterday confirmed that Ieremia would be moving on after five largely successful years on the park with the blue and white hoops but some rumblings of discontent off it as some senior players cut their ties with the union during his tenure. The former All Blacks midfielder will be succeeded in the head coach role by Blues and Auckland defence coach Mcgrath who has been an assistant to Ieremia for the last three years.
