The Extravagan­za Fair Summer Tour, East End Reserve, Today- Saturday,

April 27

The Extravagan­za Fair is a communityc­entred event with a creative and sustainabl­e focus. It is a family affair, free entry for kids, gold coin entry for the adults. A fun day out with a full weekend's entertainm­ent – from music & shows, to stalls, rides & food.

Unique & interestin­g market stalls, arts and craft, food, musical entertainm­ent, the fabulous Ashton Family Circus, Jeremy Penguin, NZ’S #1 juggler, Burns the Dragon, Living Statues, Luckystar from festivals such as Splore, Cubadupa & Shipwrecke­d. Solar-powered cafes and stage, kids shows & games.

Today 1pm–5pm, tomorrow Apr 26 9am–5pm, Sat Apr 27 9am–5pm.

Hawera 2ZH Country & Variety Music Club, held at the Hawera Pipe Band Hall, 89 Collins Street, Hawera, tomorrow, 7-10pm

Everybody welcome. Come along and have a sing or listen. Great band. Supper provided.

Taranaki Health Foundation Fundraiser, 4th Wall Theatre, tomorrow, 7.30pm

Part One – Under by award-winning playwright Cassandra Tse.

May was an athlete, an artist, brilliant headstrong and beautiful and now she has disappeare­d.

The man who loves her goes to great lengths to find her again, searching through his dreams and memories for clues to where she may have gone.

Under is a homage to the strength it takes to keep caring for someone who quite simply is just not there anymore. The poignant journey through memory to find the woman he loves who is now lost to Alzheimer’s

Part Two – Under an Old Hat devised by Chris Green.

The story continues with song and laughter What will we discover under an old hat. He brings to life the memories, travels, friends and the many different hats he has worn over the years.

With music from Josh Groban, Robbie Williams, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Frank Sinatra and more he lifts the evening with stories, songs, anecdotes, wit and laughter to end an extraordin­ary evening of theatre and song.

Adults $35, seniors $30, students $20.

All proceeds will go to Taranaki Health Foundation. Donations accepted on the day and options available when booking.

The Friends of Hawera Parks, Opunake Walkway and Cliff Top Walk, Saturday, April 27, 10am

Friends of Hawera Parks along with our co-ordinator Ian Armstrong have organised a walk along the Opunake Walkway and

Cliff Top Walk.

We will be car pooling and will meet at the King Edward Park gates, corner of High Street and Camberwell Road, leaving at 9.15am. Contact, Miranda 027 571 8893.
