Hāwera 2ZH Country & Variety Music Club Hāwera Pipe Band Hall, 89 Collins St; Today, 7-10pm

Taranaki Airs v Southland Sharks TSB Stadium; Sunday, May 12, 3pm tip-off

Support our Taranaki Airs and help protect the peak! Rapid League: 2pm; NBL tip-off: 3pm. Children under the age of 14 are required to be accompanie­d by an adult at all times and there are no pass-outs for this event. Get tickets from Ticketek or at the door.

Lunchtime Concert Methodist Centre; Wednesday, May 15, 12.15pm

This lunchtime performanc­e features the male choir Taranaki Songmen led by Julian Raphael. They have put together a special programme of songs to celebrate New Zealand Music Month. Journey with them through olden times with folk songs from the sealers, fishermen and gold miners, and enjoy some classic popular songs from the country’s great songwriter­s. Koha appreciate­d.
