Kieran Tipene Tauri, 31, was lucky to be convicted and discharged on four charges including breach of community work, breach of bail, breach of supervision and driving while forbidden in Taupo’s District Court on Wednesday.

Ashley Pirini, from Taupo, appeared in Taupo’s District Court, on four seperate charges; theft of clothing, breach of bail, breach of community work and breach of supervision.
‘‘You’ve been unable to abide by the terms of your current sentence,’’ Judge McGuire said. ’’The recommendation is a short term of imprisonment.’’
Judge McGuire added that he hopes this sentence will give Pirini the chance to reflect on her past, and if not that, at least a break from her demons.
‘‘This is an opportunity to reflect and consider the way forward.’’
Judge McGuire asked Pirini to reflect on one main thing, and that was her child.
Pirini was sentenced to two months in prison, followed by six months release conditions. Remanded for assault Turangi woman Chelsea Anderson, appeared in court charged with assault.
