Show your love for them on Valentine’s Day

-

With Valentine’s Day coming up fast, the organised romantic types will be contemplating purchases, or planning excursions, and generally being secretive about their plans for their loved one.

Then there are those who, although wellintentioned, either forget or just find it too difficult to decide what to do.

Their partner may be fussy, budgetconscious, or generally inquisitive so keeping something as a pleasant surprise has become virtually impossible.

But the options for showing your love truly are endless and you really don’t have to be all that imaginative – or spend a fortune – to impress your loved one.

For younger people, a hand-crafted card, or a soft toy adorned with a romantic message, or a flower, or a picnic of tasty treats, or a trip to the movies (or the whole lot!) will hit the right note.

Couples with children could enjoy a meal out away from the kids and never-ending housework. For a true indulgence, this could extend to a night or weekend away from the stresses of everyday life, and include a couple’s spa treat.

Other popular options include lovely flowers – which don’t have to be red roses – or an indoor plant, or a special plant for the garden.

Slightly more indulgent options could be a beautiful piece of jewellery – antique or new – that has caught their eye, or a relaxing spa treatment.

For the sporty types, splash out on that coveted exercise accessory.

If the budget is too tight for a ‘bought’ treat, you can’t beat a thoughtful handcrafted card and breakfast in bed, or a romantic picnic. Or, if one partner does all the cooking or housework, whipping them up a meal, or giving the house a spring clean for them, would be real treats.

However you decide to spend Valentine’s Day, make sure you take some time to express your feelings to your someone special.
