■ Fun Run, December 29

The Omori Kuratau Community Trust is holding its annual Community Fun Run on Saturday December 29, with a choice of two distances — 2km and 9km. Enrolment is at the community hall on 220 Omori Rd, Kuratau, at 8.30am on the day, and the event is expected to finish up by about lunch time.

Enrolment fees are: family $25, adult $10, children $5.

■ Fishing Competition, January 1 & 2

The community trust’s annual fishing competition follows, running over January 1 and 2. Local sponsors are providing prizes and fishers can enter online by 4pm Sunday December 31. Adults $30, juniors $10.
