Tree planting

Greening Taupō invites everyone to join it to continue planting out the 2021 Arbor Day site on Centennial Drive on Saturday. The planting event takes place from 11am until 1pm. Park up and join in on the fun along Centennial Drive between the Taupō Golf Club and AC Baths. You’ll need gumboots, garden gloves and a spade, plus wet weather gear as the planting will take place rain or shine. At the end of the planting there will be a sausage sizzle and hot drink for all volunteers. Youngsters should bring their certificates to collect a sticker, and if they have four or more stickers will be able to collect a native tree to take home.
