Genxhomes has The Bay covered

-

Shane Lye and Jo-anna Van Lye own and operate Genxhomes BOP and Genxhomes Central Plateau, both of which they have developed over the past 15 years within the very competitive residential construction industry.

Being an independently owned, mid-sized building company, Genxhomes has succeeded for several reasons.

“Our clients receive excellent customer service from our experienced Genx team” explains Jo.

“We are there with them throughout the entire build process and particularly in the planning stages, we ensure they get answers to all their questions.

It makes for a strong and trusted working relationship and a positive outcome for all parties”.

Along with Shane and Jo-anna, the core Genx team is comprised of office manager, construction supervisor and 5 builders all of which are supported by their preferred suppliers with Oregon ITM being their most long-standing.

In 2020, Shane made the decision to increase the Genxhomes catchment area to include Rotorua, Cambridge, Hamilton and all of the Central Plateau region.

Since extending their build area, Genxhomes has already built many homes in Taupo’s Nga Roto Estate where House and Land packages of varying land sizes are readily available.

Shane and Jo feel that that another key to their success has been ensuring all business relationships such as with Oregon ITM are very solid.

It certainly helps to maintain good communication, a pro-active management style and forward planning.

“We pride ourselves on having an awesome team at Genxhomes with a strong work ethic and a build process which includes online project updates for each of our clients”.

In Palm Springs, Genxhomes currently has just one House & Land package left to sell as well as their 280sqm designer show home (due for completion in November) and a large architectural, dualliving home (soon to be built).

In Taupo there are now 6 Genx-designed House & Land packages available with a further 2 Design/Build options for those clients wanting to be involved in the design process from the get-go.

While Shane is engaged in the overall running of the business, Jo’s skills are in show home staging along with colour and product selection.

All Genxhomes Design/Build or renovation clients receive a comprehensive colour consult with Jo as well as specialists from HK Kitchens, Tile Warehouse and Carpetcourt.

“Within the past 12 months, the demand for renovation professionals has increased greatly with many homeowners engaging us for our design and build skills to update, extend or improve functionality of their existing home” says Jo.

Genxhomes is a proud member of the Registered Master Builders and all Genx homes include the Ten-year Master Build Guarantee as standard.

Shane is also Vice-President of the Executive Committee of the Tauranga Master Builders Association which keeps him strongly abreast of any changes within the construction sector.

“We also plan to do the same in Taupo, now that Genxhomes is becoming more established there. It’s a way of contributing to a sport we’re passionate about and helping young and promising athletes achieve their goals.”

Finally, Genxhomes has recently been recognised for their efforts winning four medals in the 2022 Registered Master Builders House of the Year Awards. Two Regional Silver Awards, A Regional Category Award and Gold Award. An amazing achievement for the team.

Our current Genx BOP showhome and office is located at 1/336 Ocean Beach Road, Mt Maunganui however in November, the team will relocate to their new architectural show home at 8 Montiicola Drive, Palm Springs.

In Taupo, people can also visit another Genx show home at 2 Maru Terrace in Nga Roto Estate.
