Tuesday saw 30 members turn up to participate in the Tauhara Cup Combined Pairs Net Competition, plus Player Of The Month.

The game was played in cool condition on Tauhara.

Judy Nairn and Colleen Wade came 1st with a great combined net score of 139. Judy had a fantastic round with a 66 net and Colleen maintained the consistent form she has shown all year by having a net 73. Well done ladies.

Viv Nyssen and Anna Brabyn were 2nd with 143, June Roberts and Dawn Godinagh came 3rd with 144 and this was followed by Lynn Bowden and Cheryl Hughes on 145, plus Pam Upchurch and Val Stone also on 145.

Voucher for NT in Bronze1 Division on hole 17. Barbara Brunner won the Bottle O Voucher for NTP in Bronze 2 Division on hole 16 and Anna Brabyn won the Columbus Cafe Voucher for NTP in Silver Division on Hole 6.

The Dixie Brown Voucher for the Longest Putt on hole18 was won by Cheryl Hughes. The Cats Pajamas Raffle was won by Judy Nairn. Judy wrapped up a great day by also winning Player Of The Month. Thank you to our sponsors of the day.

Vets versus Cavaliers attracted 90 Taupō golfers on Tauhara on Wednesday in fine conditions, comprising 55 Cavs and 35 Vet Golfers with some very good stableford scores.

The Cavaliers recorded a win and had the three best stableford scores of 42, 41 and 40 points.

Best Vet score on the day was Richard Hoadley with 39 points along with Tony Rutledge. Other notable scores were 38 points for Brian Macken, 37 for Bob Burns and Dennis Tito, an honest 36 points for Mike Giesen, Geoff Burton and Tony Seaville and 35 points for Craig Greenwood, John Mather and Denis O’Callaghan. Vets won some prizes and enjoyed the day which was organised by the Cavaliers.
