Taupō Ladies’ 9 Hole Golf

Our 9 Hole Open Tournament for 2022 was held on Monday, October 17 with 55 players on both the Tauhara front and back nine holes.

People came from Hamilton, Hastings, Rotorua, Maraenui, Ohope, Springfield and Taupō . We thank Sharon of Liquorland and Mitre 10 Taupō for sponsorship. Winners fell into three divisions: Women’s First and Second Division and Men. Best Gross went to Ann Velvin (Taupō ) 45, Becky McEwen (Taupō ) 52 and Fred Lepaio. Best Netts were Jean Jensen (Taupō ) 31, Mary Carrol-Jones (Rotorua) 30 and Jeff Winter. Best Stableford Lyn MacLeod (Taupō ) 20, Rosemary Baker (Taupō ) 17 and Kevin Bint. We were lucky with the partly cloudy day and enjoyed seeing so many from the other clubs in the neighbouring districts. Next Golf Day is October 31 when we play a Split 3 competition on the back nine holes of Centennial and Sam and Becky are our starters. We are back to the

earlier start time of 9am which means clocking in by 8.40am please.
