Forty five Vet Golfers played in the

Stableford on Tauhara sponsored by Central Motor Group, on October 19 in cool conditions. A special condolence message was acknowledg­ed for Margaret Munro, the past Women’s Vet President (2014) and wife of Malcolm Munro. Best Gross with a 77 was Kevin Hughes, followed by Bob Burns with 78, then on 85 were Hayden Baker and Vet President Neil Murley. Best Junior Gross of 69 was Gordon Harvey.

Winner with 41 Stableford points was Geoff Burton who also won the Bottle’O voucher.

There were 40 points for Hayden Baker, and 38 points for Colin Crowe and John Mather. 37 points for Gordon Harvey, Neil Murley and Tony Seavill.

With 36 points was Lou McCauley while coming in at 35 points were Richard Hoadley, Barry Hickling, Kevin Hughes, Rex Mathieson, and Denis O’Callaghan. With 34 was Murray Stanley, 33 points for Steven Anderson, John Gilbert, Bob Burns and Warren Coventry. On 32 points were Roger Menzies, Graham Woodcock, Malcolm Munro and Peter Coles.

N.T.P. were: Tony Rutledge at 2nd shot on Hole No. 1, and Tony Seavill at 4th shot on Hole No. 15.

Top Dogs were Tom Sainsbury and Hayden Baker, who beat Tony Rutledge and Roger Menzies and saved the Vets Frozen Chickens. In Senior Vets, all Square for Dermot, David and Graeme with 16 Stableford points.

The 66th Annual 5 Day Vets Tournament commences on Monday October 31.
