Wealth of talent in local performers

-

There was a feast of music on the menu for the instrumental section of the annual Performing Arts Festival.

Convenor Gill Earwaker says a large number of Te Awamutu Intermediate and Te Awamutu College students participated, demonstrating wonderful musicianship to an appreciative audience.

“To see such a wealth of talent from our local schools is something that was commented on by visitors to our event,” Gill says.

“It is because of the dedication of school music departments and itinerant music teachers that we are able to enjoy such fine musicianship.

Gill thanked the sponsors, volunteers and teachers who supported this year’s event.

“It is because of this support and community spirit we are able to provide a performance opportunity for students of all ages, at different levels of learning, and encourage them in their musical journey.”
