Pick up your dog’s poop to prevent illness in humans

It is estimated that around 50 toddlers in Britain yearly are blinded for life because careless dog owners do not pick up their dog poop.

Why? Because even though your dog may be wormed it can still carry this awful worm condition, so when it poops, the eggs incubate in the soil and an innocent child playing in the park or your back yard will eat a bit of dirt a year later.

The egg hatches in the child and the worm invades the child’s brain and lungs and a life of misery begins, which could be me, you, or your family.

So if you carry a simple plastic bag and use it as a glove to pick up the poop you have in fact prevented a lifetime of misery for a child and its family.

If you do not pick up your dog’s poop you are really responsible for the misery described above.

It was really disappointing to see dog poop in Crozier Street and even the park next to the Pirongia Playcentre.
