Duo win blind pairs contest

Pirongia Golf Club held a blind drawn pairs stableford competition on Sunday.

It was won by Pat Ryan and Ken Bardsley with a combined 80 points.

Second equal on 74 points were Murray Barclay and Derek Boyle, Rob Taylor and Paul Empson, Denise Goile and Ross Scown, from Dave Peryer and Dick Thomas, Gary Russo and Barry Cavey with 73 points and Jack Hjorth and Paul Davie (72).

Garry Bowman shot two twos, Steve Law also scored a two.

Longest putt was sunk by Gary Russo and Scott Law was closest to the pin.
