Hot rods get out and about

This Satur­day Te Awa­mutu Rod and Cus­tom Club mem­ber Mur­ray Peter­son will be host­ing the Te Awa­mutu Hot Rod Break­fast at Cen­tral Cafe´ — a great chance for petrol­heads to catch up and for the pub­lic to see some beau­ti­ful cars parked up on Alexan­dra Street.

On Sun­day the sec­ond TARCC Burger Fuel Car Dis­play for this sum­mer takes place from 10.30-1pm on Sloane Street and will fea­ture the un­veil­ing of the Te Awa­mutu Burger Fuel Promo Car — post­poned from the last event due to some com­pli­ance is­sues with the newly landed cruiser.

Ev­ery­one with a hot rod, clas­sic or cus­tom car is wel­come to take part and the pub­lic is in­vited to at­tend.

There is no vot­ing for ‘best car’ this month, but plenty of Burger Fuel prizes and give-aways.

The fol­low­ing Satur­day, Novem­ber 17, TARCC is sup­port­ing Repco Te Awa­mutu’s Show & Shine as part of ‘Love Your Car Month’ which takes place in the store’s carpark from 10am un­til 2pm.

Own­ers of in­ter­est­ing rides are in­vited to take part — there’ll be prizes for the best cars, a bar­be­cue and plenty of in-store deals.

Repco Te Awa­mutu is a val­ued and long-time spon­sor of the Te Awa­mutu Rod and Cus­tom Club.

Sun­day, Novem­ber 18 is the re­turn of the club’s ‘Grab a Granny Run’ — a fun day when mem­bers take some of our se­nior cit­i­zens out for a cruise and lunch.
