Te Awamutu Courier - - News -

The annual Senior Citizens Free Concert is back for another year and promises to be a musical feast.

The variety programme features three groups — Silver Belles Ladies Choir, Beatrice Hofer and Encore and RD3 Male Quartet.

The Silver Belles grew from the combined Te Ku¯ iti/O¯ torohanga Lyceum Choirs.

The group gathers weekly to practise and polish songs for performance.

Singers range in age from 50 to 92, proving that you’re never too old to sing.

RD3 is a male quartet which performs for the joy of singing.

The group will present a sing-along of old-time favourites.

Encore is a group of Waikato singers led by accomplished singer Beatrice Hofer.

Its singers come from many walks of life and are united in their passion for singing. For many, lessons are a return to past musical training. Others have sung all their lives but never had the opportunity for lessons.

The annual Senior Citizens Free Concert is at Te Awamutu Bible Chapel on Tuesday, November 27 at 1.30pm.

For more information contact Dave Jackson on 872 7832.
