Christ­mas tree lit up the for fes­tive sea­son

The Te Awa­mutu Alive Com­mu­nity Christ­mas Tree is lit up for the 2018/19 fes­tive sea­son.

The tree is in the Te Awa­mutu Rose Gar­dens and is a project of Te Awa­mutu Alive, with ini­tial fi­nan­cial sup­port from Te Awa­mutu Com­mu­nity Board and Te Awa­mutu Com­mu­nity Pub­lic Re­la­tions Or­gan­i­sa­tion, as well as ini­tial and on­go­ing fi­nan­cial sup­port from Te Awa­mutu Rose Trust.

It is sup­ported by Waipa¯ Dis­trict Coun­cil and elec­tri­cal main­te­nance is pro­vided by Con­tact Elec­tri­cal. Sup­port has also been given by Lenny the Ar­borist, Wil­son Trees and Waipa Hire.

Baubles and dec­o­ra­tions are spon­sored by Kevin and Christine Leech, Mar­garet and Paul Bull, Garry and Donna Dyet, Cathy and Wayne As­plin, Florence and Ron­nie Steven­son and Mid­dle­tons Gift Bou­tique.

Christ­mas tree or­gan­iser Dean Tay­lor thanks all the in­di­vid­u­als, or­gan­i­sa­tions and busi­nesses for their sup­port. He asks vis­i­tors to re­spect the Com­mu­nity Christ­mas Tree, which is pro­vided due to the good­will and gen­eros­ity of the pub­lic, and also asks peo­ple not to climb it.
