Santa Claus is here this Saturday

-

There are just two more days until the 2018 edition of the Rotary Gisler Christmas Parade.

The organisers sincerely thank the businesses community, local churches, schools, sports and service clubs for taking part.

With so many participants, safety is always a main focus — as well as having fun.

The public is asked to follow instructions from organisers and volunteers, keep back from the road and keep an eye on children at all times. Head into town in plenty of time to find a park outside the CBD and make the walk to the main street for the noon start.

Alexandra St from Arawata St to Mutu/Rewi St, Selwyn Lane, Gorst Ave, Churchill St behind the Events Centre and Mahoe St from Arawata St to Selwyn Lane will be closed from 7am until 4pm. From 11am until 4pm Mahoe St from Churchill St to Arawata St and Arawata St from Mahoe St to Alexandra St will also be closed for the parade and clean-up.

Cafe´ owner and Te Awamutu Rod and Custom Club member Murray Peterson will once again be hosting a display of hot rods, classic and custom cars around Central Cafe´ during the morning and shops will be open for business.
