Four wins in open triples

Bryan Ryburn, Barbara Ryburn and Lynda Bennett were the only team to record four wins taking out the open triples tournament at Kihikihi Bowling Club.

The Te Awamutu bowlers handled the windy conditions and early season green with aplomb.

The host club team of Dave Barnett, Olga Barnes and Linda Rumbles put up a valiant effort against the visiting teams to finish runners-up, recording three wins and a draw and winning 21 of 32 ends.

Alison Winter’s team from Cambridge recorded three wins and one draw but had to settle for third after winning 19 of 32 ends.
