Darts greats coming for series
The biggest names in darts visit Hamilton in 2019 when the Claudelands Arena hosts New Zealand’s World Series of Darts.
The NZ Darts Masters is on August 23-24, as eight top stars line up against eight Oceanic qualifiers in the two-day tournament.
The eight PDC stars are likely to include world number one Michael van Gerwen, the 2018 Auckland Darts Masters winner, and popular Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright, with the competitors to be confirmed in early 2019.
“Darts has been growing across New Zealand in recent years and we felt this was the right time to visit a new venue.
“The Claudelands Arena looks an ideal destination for the World Series of Darts,” said PDC chief executive Matthew Porter.
