The Hollies returning to play Claudelands

-

The Hollies are returning to play Claudelands Arena on Monday, March 4 and we can help you celebrate the much-anticipated return of one of the greatest Brit Pop bands of all time by picking up a copy of The Hollies — 20 Golden Greats.

We’ve got a copy for you to win ahead of what is shaping to be one of the most popular shows of 2019.

With more hit singles then the Beatles in the ‘60’s, The Hollies shaped the world of pop music as we know it today.

The Hollies mega hits include The Air That I Breathe, Bus Stop, Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress, Carrie Anne, Stop Stop Stop, On A Carousel, Here I Go Again, I’m Alive, Sorry Suzanne, Look Through Any Window, Just One Look, I Can’t Let Go, Stay He Ain’t Heavy He’s My Brother, I Can’t Tell The Bottom From The Top, Gasoline Alley Bred and Jennifer Eccles, all of which are included on our featured CD and which continue to be among the mostplayed songs in the world today — testament to just how good this band is.

There are a few omissions from this disc — notable among them are Dear Eloise, Pay You Back With Interest and Magic Woman Touch.

Will they serve them up at the show? There’s only one way to find out.

A highway of hits, soaring harmonies and brilliantly crafted songs. Fresh…familiar…timeless.

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010 The Hollies continue to record and perform and remain as current today as they were way back when and have retained that inimitable Hollies ‘sound’.

New Zealand loves Postmodern Jukebox! Following four successful tours in as many years, the multi-talented collective will bring their reimagined contemporary pop, rock and R&B hits in the style of various yesteryears back to eagerly awaiting fans and we have a double pass up for grabs for you to get up close and personal with them on their first visit to The Tron to play The Heaphy Room, Claudelands Arena on Sunday, October 13 next year.

Each time around, PMJ looks forward to bringing their unique spin on modern pop hits and retro pop stylings to new cities for the first time, and Hamilton fans can’t wait.

That’s because they know, as any PMJ fan can tell you, the experience is never the same twice, with new songs, new sounds, and new members added to the ever-growing family each time around.

“I take pride in putting together the right powers and personalities to create a unique and amazing experience for our fans,” founder and creator Scott Bradlee says.

“We want them to escape reality and join us for the most sensational 1920s party this side of The Great Gatsby. We want them to experience what it was like to be at the New Years' Eve show that Sinatra would have hosted in the 1940s.

“We want them to feel the excitement of hearing the greats of Motown live and up close.

“Our goal is to give our audiences their favourite show again and again and still have it feel like the very first time”

Check out youtube for PMJ versions of songs by artists as diverse as Miley Cyrus, Radiohead, Guns N Roses, Wham, Katy Perry Meghan Trainor and even our own Lorde who describes PMJ’s version of Royals, which has been viewed over 17 million times, as her ‘favourite’.
