The Bev Garrett Memorial Trophy for Excellence in Sport:

Maria Muraahi. Maria was a member of the Waikato Open Mixed Touch Team at the 2019 Bunnings Nationals. She was captain of the Girls 1st XV Rugby team which won the inaugural Waikato Secondary Schools Girls 10+ competitio­n. Maria went on to be selected to the YMCA Waikato Girls Under 18 rugby team that placed first in the Northern Region Girls rugby competitio­n. She was selected to trial for NZ Wahine Under 18 Girls Rugby team.

The Tataurangi Family Trophy for Outstandin­g Performanc­e in an Individual Sport:

Cole Haden.

Cole was selected to the North Island Junior Small Bore shooting team that competed against the South Island at the New Zealand Premier Target shooting event. He shot the third highest score for the North Island and was selected for the New Zealand Small Bore shooting team that competed against the UK Home Counties, scoring 295/300, placing fifth.

Walmsley.

Tegan has represente­d Te Awamutu College in a wide variety of sports. In 2019 she has sharpened her focus to her chosen sport of Lacrosse and was chosen to represent New Zealand at Under 23 level, travelling to South Korea and Australia this year for tournament­s. She has also been selected for the Waikato Senior Women’s, Lacrosse team and the Under 18A Girls Lacrosse team that won this year’s nationals. As well as this success, Tegan is captain of the Te Awamutu College Premier Girls Lacrosse team, captain of the Te Awamutu College Equestrian team and captain of the Te Awamutu College Snow Sports Team.
