Country’s coming to town
Te Awamutu Bible Chapel will be humming to the sound of country music artists from all around the country on Saturday, May 1.
Heading the star-studded line-up is Reg McTaggart from Arrowtown in the South Island. Reg has been to Te Awamutu before and is very popular.
He enjoys the visit as the audience enjoys his style of performing. He will be releasing his latest CD along with earlier recordings.
Joy Adams needs no introduction, a fantastic performer who likes to keep the audience involved with her great singing and humorous songs. Joy will have her latest CD available on the night.
Jocelyn and George from Taranaki have also got their latest CD being released, having just completed the Taranaki Country Music Festival at Waitara.
Merve McEnteer from Tauranga jumped at the chance to come aboard and perform. The audience will love his style of singing.
He will have his first CD available too.
The Kahu Sisters are great entertainers from Taupo¯ where they have their own Country Music Club (Lakeside Country Music Club).
The last time they appeared at the chapel they had the audience in stitches with their antics.
Maureen Walters from Waiuku
can’t wait for the show to start — a real true blue country music performer with a lovely voice.
Barry Tunnicliffe from Matamata is another who can wow the audience. He has been off the scene for a while due to surgery and his latest CD will be available on the night.
All in all, it will be a night of good country music.
Get some friends together and head to the Bible Chapel Show.
