Te Awamutu Police attended the following matters last week:

-

They attended to 15 family-harm related incidents.

They attended to two mental health related incidents.

A cat was shot with an air gun near Crozier Street, Pirongia. The cat survived but required vet treatment.

They assisted with evicting two people from a local motel.

A male had his license suspended for three month due to the number of demerits he had accumulate­d.

A male was summoned to appear in court after failing to stop for Police.

A 15-year-old boy was reported missing, he was found two days later.

They assisted Huntly staff when a gang fight broke out.

A driver was processed for drink driving, they blew 692, had their license suspended and have been summoned to court.

Another drink driver blew 600 and they were forbidden to drive.

Burglary and theft: Three men carried out an aggravated burglary at a property on Aotea Road, they pulled a firearm on the occupant and the proceeded to tie him up. They stole a number of firearms and cannabis. Later the same day, Police searched a local address and located the stolen items. Charges are pending. A male had sold his Harley-Davidson motorbike through Facebook, the buyer deposited the money into his account but two days later the money disappeare­d.

Vehicle incidents: There was a two-vehicle crash at the intersecti­on of Mahoe and Mutu Streets, it appears a van pulled out and hit the other vehicle involved. There were only minor injuries.

Arrests: A male was arrested for wilful damage and assaults police, he is being held in custody to appear in court. A female was required on breach of bail, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of meth. A female was arrested for shopliftin­g.
