Four 2022 Te Awamutu Sports players and one of their coaches were involved in the World Schools Sevens at Auckland’s Pakuranga Rugby Club during the weekend.

Austin Anderson, Malachi Wrampling (both Asian Barbarians), Cody Nordstrom, Taha Kemara (both New Zealand Condor Sevens) and Sam

Gibbens (Samoan Barbarians coach) all headed north for the tournament.

The New Zealand Condors won both the boys’ and girls’ tournaments and former Hamilton Boys’ High School student Kemara was selected in the tournament team.

“As a club we are very proud of the representation in this fantastic tournament,” it says on Te Awamutu Sports Rugby Club’s Facebook page.
