Lucfest taking place this weekend

Lucfest is providing some entertainm­ent with the event kicking off this Saturday at 12pm.

Guests are advised to get in early to secure entry, as under the current red light system this event is capped at 100 people with vaccine pass required for entry.

This is a family friendly, outdoor event that has hours of live music, camping, BYOB and BBQ’s available for cooking.

This event features Lucid Night, Deathnir, The After, Opposite Inverse, My Enemy’s Friend, Rubine, Karnack, Antebellum, Dead Empire, Rise The Wicked, Q&A with NZ Medium Kelvin Cruickshan­k.

Te Awamutu Country Music club have a treat for Roy Orbison fans this Sunday, February 20 as they welcome back popular guest Rupert King, more well known for his Elvis shows.

This time however Rupert has dedicated his guest spot for his tribute to Roy Orbison.

Rupert has been entertaini­ng in country music for over 50 years. He is a vocal coach and continues to teach guitar.

He has been a recipient of the Veteran NZCM Entertaine­r of the year four times.

Rupert has also performed as a tribute artist in New Zealand and Australia.

Head along to the Methodist Church Hall on Bank St, Te Awamutu, on Sunday afternoon from 1pm-4.30pm.
