Six60 invoke Covid delay dates for health and safety of fans

With Omicron casting a foreboding shadow over many concert events this summer it was always a lottery as to what would be able to go ahead. One thing is for certain – when it is safe for Six60 to hit the stage – they will!

They were all set to move in a heartbeat should circumstances change – which of course they have! There's an old saying: “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.

Right from the start Six60 have had the health and safety of their fans at the forefront of all their endeavours.

In keeping with that forward planning Six60 introduced Covid delay dates into their planning, such is their commitment and desire to take the stage to satisfy the demand from their thousands of fans eager to experience them live once more.

All of the concerts in their upcoming biggest tour yet, have been rescheduled to the first of those Covid reserve dates – relevant dates are listed below with the original dates in brackets.

The band became the first Kiwi group in history to sell out not one but two shows at Western Springs and headline a show at Auckland's Eden Park, and they're returning to Eden Park on Saturday, November 19 (originally Saturday, April 9) for another round. But that's not all that makes their upcoming tour huge.

It will be New Zealand's first-ever all-stadium national tour - yet another significant achievement for the band who formed during their university flatting days in Dunedin.

For the first time ever, Six60 Saturdays will come to Rotorua on Saturday, November 12 (originally Saturday, March 5) with the first show of the tour being played at Rotorua International Stadium. This will be a monumental occasion for the region with fans from all over the Waikato and beyond expected to attend.

And on Saturday, November 5 (originally Saturday, April 2), Six60 are set to pave the way yet again as the first ever live concert at Napier's McLean Park.

Is it a coincidence that this just happens to be Guy Fawkes night – will they have something a little extra special planned – only one way to find out – be there!

The promoters had earlier advised that the concerts are a rain or shine event and, in keeping with the everchanging Covid-19 situation, have endeavoured to plan for all possibilities and have a further covid delay date for each event waiting in the wings should it be required.

They ask patrons to please ensure when purchasing tickets that they can attend all of the delay dates should the concerts need to be postponed due to changes in New Zealand's Covid-19 situation.

No refunds will be given for attendees or ticket holders that are unwilling or unable to comply with NZ Government requirements, including any requirement to be vaccinated against Covid-19, unless required by applicable law.

All tickets purchased for the original dates remain valid for the Covid delay dates.
