College Rifles provide a solid hitout

-

Last weekend Te Awamutu Sports took on Auckland’s College Rifles Rugby Club at Albert Park in their second pre-season rugby match. After a great display from both sides, Te Awamutu came away with the win 31-26, making it two from two in preseason.

“After a disrupted preseason for both teams it was nice to get 80 minutes of quality rugby in,” says Te Awamutu Sports head coach Travis Church.

“We still have a lot of work to do to get ready for April 23 v United Matamata Sports. We have another game lined up against a strong Morrinsville outfit lead by Sam Blatchford so we are looking forward to our next challenge on April 2.”
