Scholarships available for OB adventures for disabled youth

Outward Bound has scholarships now available for two new eight-day courses for youth with a physical disability.

Youth Activate is an eight-day course for physically disabled youth aged 16-18 years.

The course is suitable for teens who are independent, able to communicate clearly and who can travel and attend without a carer.

The next course is scheduled for May 10-17. Applications close on Thursday, April 14 but will be filled on a first in-first served basis.

Leaps and Bounds Activate is a course for physically disabled youth aged 13-16 years and their parent or caregiver.

The next course is October 10-17. Applications close on Friday, September 9 and will also be filled on a first in-first served basis.

Both courses are proudly supported by the Lindsay Foundation and are fully funded excluding transport and medical costs.

Outward Bound describe the courses as an amazing opportunity for young people to challenge themselves physically and mentally and discover their potential in the New Zealand outdoors.
