■ Te Awamutu After a break for coring which was delayed due to Covid and then rain; play started again last Tuesday.

Ladies 18-hole:

1st division - Barbara O’Regan 38 points; 2nd division - Dale Spiers 35; the rest - Elaine Troutbeck 37; Raewyn Coleman 37; Robin Watson 37; Annette Bryant 33.

The Ladies Championsh­ip Pennant Team of Raewyn and Toni Coleman and Jenny and Gemma Towers are leading division three with one round to go this Sunday.

Ladies 9-hole:

Karolyn Taylor 21 points from Maxine Leigh 17 and Helen Spiers 16 Sponsors Day: A successful and well attended Sponsors Day was held on Friday, April 1, this was a thank you day to all of Te Awamutu Golf Club’s sponsors.

Winning Teams were Celcrete - Craig Meacham, Ryan Meacham, Maurice Summerfiel­d and Bruce Webster on 54.25 closely followed by Mylchreest Electrical - Graeme Bayley, Zak Gibson, John Gibson and Pete Lawry on 54.5 and third ZB Homes - Zane Beckett; Russell Armstrong; Kirsten Chisholm and Bryan Downie on 55.5. Sunday Scramble:

Gross - Derek Hill 79; Stableford Murray Green 36; Ray Davies 35; Jalil Ibrahim 35; Net - Paul Black 69. Double twos were scored each by Percy Kapa on the third and fifth and Murray Green on the fifth and 13th. Vets:

Mark Keesom Twilight was won by Allan Kempthorne with 21 points, Tui Moutira, Martin Reid, Andrea Reid all with 20 points.

Final prizegivin­g for Twilight was held on Sunday, April 3. Winners were Michael Keesom 22 points, Sanjay Weerasingh­e, Brent Mathews, Ian Julian and Andrew Galbraith all with 20 points.

At the prize giving, the major prize winner was Ken Graham. Saturday Scramble:

The Captain’s choice was a fun stableford scramble which was won by Neil Johnstone.

Monday ladies scramble was won by Helen Powell 36 points, Sheryl MacMahon, Helen Hickling and Denise Davies all on 34 points. The final of the Jean Livingston­e Cup was played and won by Margaret Johnstone.

The Handicap Strokeplay team of Steve Missen, Ross Briffault, Haki Walker and Trevor Bell played in the final at Waikere Golf Club. The team finished mid-table.
