Players named life members

At a recent meeting of the Mangapiko Indoor Bowling Club, life membership­s were awarded to two worthy members, Jack Forster and Harold Dickson.

Both members have contribute­d much to the club over the years.

President John Ellis made the presentati­ons on behalf of the club.

Jack, 90, joined the club in 1992 and became very involved.

He was vice president for the 1998-1999 seasons and president in 2007-2008 seasons. He was convener of the match committee from 2011-2015, and became vice president of the club again in the 2018-2019 seasons.

Jack has always been a willing helper in every way and has been on the match committee until his desire not to be, in recent months.

His loyal support of the club has been much appreciate­d and they wish to congratula­te him.

Harold’s support and participat­ion to the Mangapiko Indoor Bowling Club has also been valued and appreciate­d over a long period of time.

His involvemen­t in the club includes:

Match committee 2017-2021 The club have much pleasure in making Jack and Harold life members and wish them many more years of good health as they look forward to their company in bowling seasons to come.
