Triples vie for honours

Kihikihi Bowling Club held a wellreceiv­ed OPT Triples tournament on April 13 with the supposed bad weather turning into a brilliant day.

Third place went to Wendy Weinberg’s team from Piopio with four wins and 18 ends while, in second was C. Olsen’s team from Pirongia with 19 ends. In top spot with four wins 21 ends was the Beerescour­t team of W. Wenham, R. Chalklen and J. Donovan.

It was also a great day for the club’s Triples Champs where eight teams had four games each.

The team of M. Proffit, J. Johnston and G. Addison took the title being the only team with four wins.

Kihikihi Bowling Club wishes to congratula­te the winners and hopes to see everyone on April 27.
