Diesel Mechanic / Fitter

NZ company providing engineering services to the paper manufacturing industry in Kinleith has a vacancy for an experienced tradesman to undertake supervision and maintenance work on site. The company has a long term contract to provide dredging services and operates dredging equipment, heavy machinery and pumping plant.

The contract working hrs are typically 44-60hrs per week carried out over 4-5 days, Monday to Saturday.

The company is looking a person with the following attributes:• Must be honest and trustworthy

• Have Advanced or Trade Certificate

• Significant experience with diesel, petrol and hydraulic equipment

• Be a motivated self starter

• Must be responsible and able to work unsupervised

• Have very good communication skills

• Able to work extended hours and Saturdays, when required

• HT Licence would be ideal but not a prerequisite

Good remuneration will be negotiated based on skills and experience.
