NZ U19s secure a second win
Team has 54-13 win over the Sharks in Durban
Mark Hammett’s New Zealand Under 19 rugby side have once again outclassed their South African opposition, securing a 54-13 win over the Sharks Under 19 team in Durban on Saturday.
Hunter Morrison and Te Awamutu Sports’ Cody Nordstrom each crossed the line twice, with Taine Kolose, Isaac Hutchinson, Epeli Waquanicece, Keran van Staden each scoring a try.
Byron Smith successfully converted five tries, with his replacement Ajay Faleafaga converting two once taking the field.
The win follows an 86-0 victory over Western Province earlier in the week where they scored 14 tries in their first outing since the 2007 Under 19 World Championships. Nordstrom also scored a double in this match.
New Zealand Under 19s’ next tour match against the Leopards is to be played today while their final match
is against the Lions in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
