Te Awamutu Sports Cycling Club’s first week of the Spoken Cycles Summer Series saw 111 riders sign on.

George Jackson took the A Grade win from Carne Groube. Week 1 winners:

■ A Grade: 1st George Jackson 33:46; 2nd Carne Groube 33:46; 3rd Dan Bridgwater 33:49.

■ B Grade: 1st Ben Hoy 37:13; 2nd Gary Mikkelsen 37:14; 3rd Josh Rowe 37:18.

■ CGrade 1: 1st Martin Mitchell 40:45; 2nd Andrew Marshall 40:46; 3rd Cameron Senior 40:48. CGrade 2: 1st Jamie

Owsley 40:05; 2nd Quinn Dixon 40:06; 3rd Tony Owsley 40:07.

■ D Grade: 1st Danie Dafel 44:13; 2nd Hunter Eccleston 44:13; 3rd Nigel Farthing 44:13.
