Ramble on: Fundraiser a success

Altrusa Home and Garden Ramble on November 6 raised cash for range of causes

- Kate Durie

Eleven unique homes and gardens were featured in this year’s Altrusa Home and Garden Ramble on Sunday, November 6. With the day’s overcast skies, it wasn’t too hot to travel around and visit each location, making the day pleasant and exciting.

This ramble was organised to raise funds for the Citizens Advice Bureau, Te Awamutu Boxing Academy, Life Education Trust and other community and literacy projects.

Around 300 tickets were sold. Ticket holders were treated to naturally-styled water features and ponds, stunning renovations, beautiful plants and wildlife that benefits from them.

Stalls were set up at some of the houses selling artwork, ceramic pots and planters, as well as various plants.
