Puahue circuit to the rescue

Lewis Johnston claims A grade

Te Awamutu Sports Cycling Club was “forced” to move courses to Puahue for week five of the Spoken Cycles Summer Series due to roadworks on the usual Kakepuku circuit.

The Tuesday-night meet had 118 riders sign on with congratula­tions going to Lewis Johnstonwh­otook out theAGrade in a time of 44.33 minutes, over two laps of the Puahue circuit.

Mateo Duaue, who attends Cambridge High School and has had two A-Grade wins, will return home to Argentina this week. The club wishes him all the best and hopes to see him back racing for Te Awamutu one day. Weekfivewi­nners across the grades:
