Joy to the World

-

”Joy to the world the Lord has come, let earth receive her King

. . . ” The joy is that there is hope for us all. Godis love, and perfect love casts out fear.

I remember that, whenmy brother and sister and Iwere children, wewould rundownthe driveway to hear the Christmas carols being played by the band on the back of the truck as it stopped at our farm gate.

The music, brought a wonderful presence, because young aswewere, weknew the tunes told the wonderful story of God’s love.

Jesus said, “Iamthe truth” and also “Don’t let your heart be troubled . . .”

I used to worry aboutmanythings whenIwas farming until someone showedmewhatGodhad promised thousands of years ago that while the earth remained there would be continuing seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summerand winter, and day and night. (See Genesis 8:22 in the Bible) So wedon’t have to worry or fret.

Sadly, for the last two or three yearswehave been constantly bombarded with words of unending fear.

Living in fear can even cause you to despair.

But there is good news, thousands of people around the world are beginning to trust in Jesus and great miracles are happening in their lives.

“Joy to the World the Lord has come, let earth receive her King . . . ” God bless you, and have a wonderful Christmas.
