Support Movember movement in funding men’s health projects

-

Movember is back for its 20th year of making change happen as the leading charity tackling mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer on a global scale.

Globally, men are dying on average five years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons.

In its mission to stop men dying too young, Movember funds groundbreaking health projects — 1320 and counting — uniting experts from all over the world to accelerate research, progress and change. Year-round, they work hard at raising funds and awareness, culminating in the monthlong annual moustache-growing event in November.

The month of Movember is globally recognised for its fun, disruptive approach to fundraising and the unique ways it prompts men to take action for their health.

From humble beginnings, the Movember movement has grown into a global one.

They’ve made epic progress in men’s health, but every whisker of credit goes to the Mo Bros and Mo Sisters around the world. More than five million since 2003.

The Mo Bros and Mo Sisters enthusiasm fuels their fire and their support changes lives.

For them, Movember committs to keeping things fun, fresh and inspiring.

There are many ways to support The Order of Mo. That’s why Movember have Mo Your Own Way. Grow a moustache, climb a mountain, break a personal best, quit a bad habit for a month or take on a dare for men’s health. Do it your way and you won’t go wrong.

Mo Your Own Way is your hall pass to embrace the weird, wild and unexpected. So go all-out. Remember, donations favour the brave.

NZME reporter Jesse Wood is taking part in the event for his seventh consecutive year.
