Rural Dental Services Limited is a privately owned Dental Practice which was established over 40 years ago. It has five dental surgeries in Ōtorohanga, Putāruru, Ngāruawāhia, Te Awamutu and Taumarunui and 50 staff. We provide a full range of general dentistry to the whole family. We focus on quality dental care at competitive prices.
We are looking for an experienced Finance and Administration Manager to take ownership of the accounts, payroll, and administration functions. Reporting to the Manager and working closely with the Practice Manager and external Accountant, this role has a broad scope that includes oversight of Reception/ Administration, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reporting as well as general office and business systems management. You will lead the finance and administration team of 11FTE and provide cover for absences as required.
This is a varied and interesting position. This is a great opportunity for an experienced business allrounder with experience across finance, accounts, payroll, information systems and office administration. There are opportunities to use your accounts and systems knowledge to improve current practices.
Tasks and Responsibilities include:
• Leading the Finance and Administration Team.
• Oversee and assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
• Business systems management.
• Providing finance support to the management team.

The ideal candidate will fit the following.
Skills & experience
• Previous management/finance/accounting experience.
• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Experience with Xero, IMS Payroll and Microsoft Office is desirable.
• Have proven leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
