The 31st Te Pahū Twilight 2024 Moto-X Series has come to a close after three successful rounds of fundraising for the Te Pahū Hall. Proudly brought to you by The Honda Shop in association with Te Awamutu Motorcycle Club, the series was held on February 8, 13 and 15 at the Findsen & Cook Family farm on Godfrey Rd.

More than 700 riders competed across the three nights. Some were as young as 4, while there were right up to the vets over 45 category.

“It was great to see a huge turnout this year. It was nice to see lots of new faces. We encourage everyone to come take part, whether it’s riding or showing support. It’s such a social event,” Skyler Heathcote from The Honda Shop said.

The organisers were pleased to fundraise an incredible $6500 to donate to the rural hall.

“The Te Pahū Hall committee would like to thank The Honda Shop, TAMCC and Findsen & Cook Family for their ongoing support of our major fundraiser for the year,” society member Sarah Doney said.

“The Te Pahū Hall is one of only two community-owned and operated halls in the Waipā district.”

Hamilton-based Whites Powersports kindly donated a fly helmet which was raffled off.

This raffle raised $500 for Te Awamutu’s Hato Hone St John Ambulance Station.

“We are grateful for our motorcycle community for coming out every year and showing support,” The Honda Shop Te Awamutu branch manager Shane Blackwell said.

He also thanked the sponsors who donated prizes for the event.

These included Motul NZ, Un4Seen Decals and Whites Powersports.

Thanks also went to the Findsen & Cook family for donating the use of their land.
